Evaluating oversize material and rebreak requirements

The Problem:

Accurate indications of blast performance were required to evaluate oversize material and rebreak requirements in this open cut copper mine.

Data Type: drone photogrammetry (unknown source)

Filter to 0.02m minimum separation

FRAGx demo size bins (metres) : fines : 0.5 : 1.0 :2.5 : >2.5

The Solution:

FRAGx was able to use photogrammetric data acquired by drones to quickly provide details about the size distributions of blasted rock.  The fast processing of FRAGx enabled decisions to be made about deployment of rock breakers before load and haul operations were disrupted by potential oversize rocks.
