Sultan Abulkhair from Adelaide’s ARC IOCR undertakes placement at PETRA

Sultan Abulkhair is a first year PhD student at the ARC Training Centre for Integrated Operations for Complex Resources. His rapid updating of resource knowledge with sensors project had synergies with PETRA’s MAXTA orebody learning software and whilst Sultan was with us, he was able to access downstream data sets generated using our proprietary data fusion ore tracking techology to assist with his project.

Sulltan had his first placement with PETRA to learn about orebody learning software and to access data for his PhD project.

For temporal and spatial suitability for his project, Sultan was able to analyse a three month sample of ore tracking data which was generated using our proprietary data fusion digtial twin technology.

In his placement de-brief meeting he identified an exciting opportunity to co-author a paper with team members at PETRA. We would welcome Sultan in the future, thank you to our ongoing partnership with ARC Training Centre for Integrated Operations for Complex Resources.
